AAITF (China International Automotive Aftermarket Industry and Tuning (Guangzhou) Trade Fair) (China)
The 8th China International Automotive Aftermarket Industry and Tuning (Guangzhou) Trade Fair (AAITF), was held in Guangzhou, China from February 10 to 12, 2012. The AAITF is Asia’s largest auto components related event, and Alpine was also there exhibiting, along with 3,260 companies from around the world. The fair was a bustling event, with about 280,000 people in attendance.
The Alpine Booth brought out its 2012 new product line and also showcased the PXA-H800 sound processor with its controller RUX-C800, which allow for sound tuning of factory and aftermarket systems.
Also on display was the new ICS-X8, which attracted a lot of interest from the attendees. This is the in-car infotainment solution based on MirrorLink, a standard that provides more comfortable, seamless connection and control of Nokia smartphone and applications with the ICS-X8 — navigation, music, telephone, etc.
The Alpine booth also presented a demo car equipped with this ICS-X8, which many of the visitors eagerly checked out. All told, the booth had on display a total of four demo cars including some equipped with an AVN system for each model. Visitors were especially interested in the Mercedes Benz CLS equipped with the PXA-H800 and RUX-C800, and asked many practical questions about how it is actually installed or how it can be tuned.
In addition, reference exhibits, including super-thin subwoofers, were also displayed, and a wide selection of the newest Alpine products and Alpine initiatives were introduced.
