The Bangkok International Motor Show 2013, the largest motor show held in the Asia-Pacific region, was held in Bangkok, Thailand from March 27 to April 7, 2013. Alpine took part again in this yearly event. Attended by 1.7 million visitors, the venue was bustling with crowds every day.

Alpine exhibited products based on three themes in line with the “Play On” concept of its 2013 Marketing Message. The exhibit featured easily understood introductions to the appealing functions of new 2013 products in the three themes: “Play Big,” which exhibited AVN products including the 8-inch large screen AVN, INE-Z928E; “Play Connected,” which introduced MirrorLink™, a technology that permits operation from the product side of Smartphone applications through links with the ICS-X8 and Nokia and Samsung smartphones; and “Play Strong,” which showed off the superior points of sound reproduction of a quality only possible with Alpine, centered on the CD head unit CDE-143EBT.

The “Play Strong” corner powerfully appealed to visitors by exhibiting the Lotus Elise demo car linked with the movie, “The Fast and The Furious 6.”

Two other demo cars were displayed: a Chevrolet Trailblazer having the theme “Play Big” and a Honda Civic representing the theme “Play Connected.” In the Chevrolet Trailblazer in particular, the newest car model specialized installation kit, Perfect Fit Kit, was used to install the 8-inch screen AVN INE-Z928E, attracting the interest of many visitors with the impact of the product and the beauty of its installation.

Also, the Alpine Booth was honored by earning a prize in the “Best Design Award” Accessory division for the second consecutive year. The award was given for the booth design, which extravagantly expressed the image of the concept “Play On,” based on the color blue—Alpine’s original color—and which was given high marks by both visitors and the event’s design experts.
