Jan. 9 – 12, 2018
International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) (U.S.A.)
The world’s largest consumer electronics show, the International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2018, was held in Las Vegas in U.S. for four days from January 9 to 12, 2018. This year marked the 51st year of the show, and exhibits were presented by more than 3,900 companies. It occupied over 2.75 million square feet of exhibition space, which was the largest floor area in the 51 year history of the show. The venue was crowded every day.
The Alpine Booth whose theme was “Alpine Restyle” introduced car-specific product groups, AVN/AV units, speakers amps and other universal products.
Features of Car Play/Android Auto compatible iLX-F309, which attracted the most interest, were the car navigation unit built into the in-panel audio space, separating it from the display unit, allowing a 9-inch large screen to be installed without processing. Many visitors were attracted to the iLX-F309 which is creatively designed so it appears to actually be floating and is compatible with all auto models, permitting it to be supplied to many more customers.
The X209-WRA-OR constructed especially for the Jeep Wrangler is a product that features waterproof specifications and is constructed to withstand dust, grime and rain water when operated in a jeep with neither a roof nor windows, matching the mood of owners who drive off-road. An actual jeep wrangler equipped with this X209-WRA-OR was displayed in the booth.
The X Series speakers, sub-woofers, and amps also achieved solid popularity.
The X Series exhibit which showed individual parts to permit visitors to view their detailed structures explained these in detail with panels, photos, etc. Many of the visitors appeared fascinated to learn that the product was manufactured using luxury class materials.
