Bangkok International Motor Show 2018 (Thailand)
The Bangkok International Motor Show 2018－the largest motor show in the Asia/Pacific region—was held in Bangkok in Thailand for 14 days from March 28 to April 8, 2018. This year’s show, the 39th in the series, was held with “Revolution in Motion” as its theme. More than 30 companies including Japanese auto makers exhibited new cars and concept cars, attracting a total of 1.6 million visitors from around the world.
The Alpine exhibit featured a refined design with a white keynote with “Sound You’ve Never Experienced Before” and “Alpine Style” as its themes.
This year Alpine showed its new concepts and new products in two demo cars. They attracted the interest of visitors to the booth with marketing and the demonstration of the new iLX-702D in the Alpine Style Customized Car, a Toyota C-HR, and a Toyota FORTUNER showcased the “Sound” concept with its iLX-309E (the Alpine Halo9) and PXE-0850S.
The iLX-F309E, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, attracted the most interest. Its car navigation unit is built into the audio space of the instrument panel, and it is independent of the display unit, allowing installation of a large 9-inch screen without any modifications to the panel. And visitors were also captivated by the creative design of the iLX-F309E, which makes it appear to be floating, as well as the fact that it is not limited by car model, enabling more customers to use it.
Additionally, universal design products were also on show, including the line-up of car-specific products for ALPHARD/VELLFIRE and sound systems, showing a thorough commitment to sound quality, and keeping the Alpine Booth extremely crowded every day of the show.
